New kit, new tools
April 25, 2012 in Featured
I’ve invested heavily (heavenly?) in a lot of state-of-the art gear during Q1 of 2012, in order to keep up with the industry and customer demand.
Investing means putting your money on something that has a good chance of winning in the short to medium term, and an even better, if not dead-certain, chance of winning in the long term.
That’s why i’ve chosen for the Red Scarlet-X camera and peripherals. It’s 4K, 5K coming up, very flexible and upgradeable, updates are free and it’s RAW.
Also upgraded my digital video and sound recorders, microphones, light kits (daylight softboxes, floods) and rigs and grip.
For our current feature film project “Littekens” (Scars) we needed a 4K “industrial-strength” camera and i’ll be blogging about the Red, it’s workflow and the results via my weblog at http://marvelsfilm.wordpress.com or http://littekens-film.nl/site/achter-de-schermen/ (Dutch)
I’ve also started a Red Scarlet-X usergroup on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/262309420495440/
At your service!
Martin.
