Steven salutes Martin for his camera work for VHF.org.

Martin has recently received praise from Steven Spielberg for his camera work for the Survivors of the Shoah project. Martin interviewed over 60 holocaust survivors in the Netherlands and Belgium.

You have landed at the website of film maker Martin Beek. Martin lives in the Netherlands with his wife, two daughters, two dogs and a guinea pig called Jean-Pierre. Martin is a traditionally schooled cinematographer who has over 20 years of experience in the field of film making. Via his production company Marvels Film, Martin produces TV documentaries, shorts, commercials and music videos.   The last few years, Martin participates in a growing number of non-profit projects; both for "tzedakah" and for sharing his skills and knowledge with the new generation of filmmakers. Recently, Martin put his Arriflex camera in a museum and switched to digital film making. His weblog is targeted towards this new medium.
